We have 3 races in 4 days this weekend at the Peoria Speedway for an action packed weekend! Friday, May 23rd The AMA National Flat Track Series invades the Peoria Speedway. Races start at 7:30 and gates are open at 4. Saturday, May 24th we have our weekly racing program with the following classes. Pits open at 3, Grandstands open at 4, Hotlaps at 5. Late Models will run LM20, 30,a nd 40 for the 2014 Season. Modifieds will only be allowed to run a Hoosier D on the LF after the Saturday, May 3rd Race. A’s and H’s on 3 corners for the remainder of the 2014 season after May 3rd. D’s will be permitted on any corner until after May 3rd, with the exception of the Gary Cook Jr. Memorial. The Gary Cook Jr. Memorial will be A’s and H’s on 3 corners, with the Hoosier D only allowed on the LF. PEORIA SPEEDWAY SALE IS OFFICIAL by Jeff Adams The sale of Peoria Speedway to area businessmen Brandon Dean and Jason Plumer is now official after paperwork was completed on Tuesday morning. “We are officially the new owners of Peoria Speedway and couldn’t be happier about it”, Plumer said in an interview on Wednesday night. “Our focus now is getting the schedule ironed out before the Allen Automotive Trade Show and our meeting afterwards on January 18 at Brandon’s shop in Bellevue. Peoria Speedway has always been known as a Saturday night stock car track, so we are going to race every Saturday from April to October.
