The 2016 Tentative Schedule has been released and its looking to be a fun year at the Peoria Speedway. We start the season off with 2 practice dates on March 19th and March 26th from 1 to 4 PM. April 2nd we will start the day off with a Car Show from 1 to 3 PM then later that night will be our Norwwod Pub-N-Grub Season Opener. On April 9th we will have our 3rd Annual Gary Cook Jr. Memorial paying $2,064 to win for Modifieds. On May 14th we will have the 1st Annual Chuck Hamilton Memorial this race will feature the American Late Model Series paying $5,000 to win. On Monday May 30th we will be paying $2,000 to win Modifieds for the 1st Annual Billy Neal Memorial. On June 4th we will get to see some Topless Racing with the Late Models, Modifieds, Steel Block Late Models, and Crate Modifieds taking the roofs off for the night Street Stocks and Hornets will also be racing. On June 25th we will start the day with a Car Show from 1 to 3 PM later that night will be the Herb Shannon Memorial paying $500 to win Steel Block Late Models. On Wednesday July 6th the UMP Summer Nationals will invade Peoria Speedway paying $5,000 to win for Late Models, $1,500 to win Modifieds, and $250 to win Hornets. Saturday July 9th will be the Norwood Pub-N-Grub Mid Season Championship. Our next special will mark the return of the MOWA 410 Sprint Cars on Wednesday July 27th this is the start of Illinois Sprint Week. The 2nd Annual Fall Classic will see a different format this year which will be broken down into two complete shows featuring the American Modified Series both nights. Friday September 16th will pay $3,000 to win the American Modified Series Feature also that night will be $2,000 to win Late Models, $350 to win Street Stocks, and $250 to win Hornets. Friday night after the races we will have a live band, a bonfire, and the party beer tent will be open till 1 AM. Saturday September 17th will start off with a Autograph Session featuring the American Modified Series drivers from 4 to 4:30 PM. Later that night the American Modified Series will race for $5,000 to win also that night will be $2,000 to win Late Models, $350 to win Street Stocks, and $250 to win Hornets. On September 24th we will have $750 to win Street Stocks and $350 to win Hornets. Saturday October 1st will be our Norwood Pub-N-Grub Season Championship also this night will be the Reeder Bros 50 paying $1,000 to win Steel Block Late Models and we will also have $450 to win for the Crate Modifieds. Our season will come to a end on Saturday October 8th with the Hamilton Memorial paying $5,000 to win for the Late Models. We are working on a few special dates to be announced at a later date.
